Citations

Many licensing agencies in California have the legal authority, and choose to, issue citations. A citation involves a finding of some sort of violation of the licensing law, and can lead to a fine.
While not as severe as a disciplinary action, such as an accusation, a citation can go on a licensee’s public record. Most citations can be appealed to a hearing, such as the process in the Administrative Hearing Process chart. Simas & Associates, Ltd., has vast experience in advising clients regarding the impact of citations, appealing them to an administrative hearing, and even challenging them in Superior Court.
