Statement of Issues

When a licensing board or agency denies an applicant’s license, the licensee has the right to appeal the denial.  Upon appealing the license denial, the agency issues a Statement of Issues.
Over the years, the attorneys of Simas & Associates, Ltd., have handled license denials and statement of issues for all kinds of professional licensees throughout the state. While the burden of proof is on the licensee to demonstrate fitness to have the license, the administrative process works similarly to that in an accusation. Our attorneys are experts in demonstrating fitness for licensure and meeting the licensee’s expected burden of proof in such cases.
