Law Firm History
Simas & Associates, Ltd. traces its history to March 2002, when its predecessor was founded in Sacramento to serve the needs of clients in matters involving government regulation. From its original foundation of advising and representing employers, the firm quickly expanded into other areas of Government and Administrative Law as a result of its growing expertise in dealing with regulatory matters.
The mission of Simas & Associates, Ltd. is to provide effective, ethical advocacy, advice, and representation to individuals, businesses, and other clients whose operations and day-to-day business are heavily regulated by the state and federal governments.
Simas & Associates, Ltd. strives to provide these services with the ultimate needs of the client in mind and by effectively communicating with client representatives regarding status, cost, and possible impact on client business operations.
As a boutique law firm, Simas & Associates, Ltd. has assembled a team of talented attorneys to focus on the needs of clients. As most of our lawyers have worked for large law firms, large companies, or the government, we recognize the need to provide thorough, efficient and excellent legal services without having to support a huge overhead (and corresponding hourly rates). With the help of our legal support staff, Of Counsel, and associate attorneys, Simas & Associates, Ltd. focuses on resolving our client’s case or matter.
Our firm’s attorneys represent state and local government agencies, private companies, licensed professionals, and other individuals. We are proud to have the opportunity to represent a number of diverse and interesting clients, including the following: the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Judicial Council of California, the Administrative Office of the Courts, MCI, the California Registered Veterinary Technicians Association, the Golden State Gaming Association, the California Physical Therapy Association, Staples, Inc., Office Depot, Inc. and others. We have also been privileged to have insurance carriers such as Lloyds of London, Firemen’s Fund, and OneBeacon retain us to represent its insured policyholders in administrative and legal matters.
