Nala Certified Paralegal
Kate Uckert joins our team from the foothills of Los Angeles. Raised in New Mexico, Kate graduated with a History degree from the University of New Mexico and went on to complete an ABA accredited post-baccalaureate Paralegal Studies certificate program. In 2016, she completed the requirements to become a NALA Certified Paralegal (CP)™ and moved to California. She has been a Notary Public for the State of California since 2018. It has been her privilege to work for exceptional clients with highly skilled attorneys in multiple state and federal jurisdictions. Her previous roles assisting with cases for both plaintiffs and defendants in areas including civil rights, personal injury, criminal defense, education access, healthcare, and administrative law have afforded many significant learning opportunities. These experiences inform not only her evolving work product but also her enthusiasm to be the “boots on the ground” and help provide the best representation possible for each individual client.
Outside of work Kate enjoys time with her family, a good cup of coffee, and listening to extremely long audio books (Note: All three can be done simultaneously while stuck in LA’s traffic - maybe this is living the dream). She stays busy jogging, gardening, chatting with friends and neighbors, volunteering with her kids’ schools and sports teams, and hanging out with the family dog.
