California’s Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), the department supervising almost all professional licensing agencies, boards, and bureaus throughout the state of California, has eliminated a number of renewal requirements for active duty military and their spouses/domestic partners. Most notable is the elimination of any fees associated with license renewal.
The requirement is that you or your spouse/domestic partner held a validly-issued and unfettered license at the time of being called into active-duty military. You will need to supply written documentation to support your fee waiver claim, as will your spouse/domestic partner.
For more information, please see the DCA’s press release here or visit your independent licensing agency, board, or bureau.
