Northern California Wildfires – Office is Safe, Closed for Week

Northern California, stretching from Southern Lake and Eastern/Southern Mendocino Counties, most of Sonoma and Napa Counties, Western Solano County, and Eastern Yuba County suffered an unprecedented level of simultaneous wildfires on Sunday, October 8 around 11:30 PM.

The fires have already consumed tens of thousands of acres of farms, ranches, and woodlands, thousands of homes and businesses, and injured or killed an unknown number of people, pets, and animals.

Luckily, Simas & Associates, Ltd. has suffered no damage to its office in Santa Rosa. Nor have any of its employees — although many close relatives and friends have.

The most up-to-date information on the fires can be found on the following websites:

Nevertheless, the office will remain closed this week. Given the ongoing poor air conditions, the unpredictable nature of the wildfires and proximity to the mandatory evacuation zones, burn zones, and the unreliable power and cell phone service, we thought it best to keep our team out of harms' way.

Our other offices – Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, and San Diego – remain open. And members of the Santa Rosa office are working remotely. So, please feel free to contact us at those offices. And we can make sure that your matter continues to get the attention it deserves.
