Simas & Associates, Ltd. Sponsors "GREW From the Vines"

On November 8, 2014, Simas & Associates, Ltd. helped sponsor a 5K and Children’s Fun Run in Paso Robles. “GREW From the Vines” was organized by Trinity Lutheran School out of Paso Robles, California, and was a fundraiser helping families, youth and our community stay healthy while supporting local homeless, hungry and needy families. “GREW” stands for Grow, Run, Eat, and Walk.
“Homelessness and hunger are terrible things for anyone to go through – especially those with children,” explained Steven L. Simas, owner of Simas & Associates, Ltd. “‘GREW From the Vines’ was an event being run through my son’s school and I thought that the least we could do was contribute to the cause. It ended up being a great event, with several other local sponsors.”
Sponsors also included Sharp’s Hill Vineyards, Villa 46, and Farwest Electrical Control. The 5k and fun run were held in the winding, beautiful hills of the north county vineyards of Villa 46.

“Runners, families, and supporters were asked to bring a canned food item and/or a warm clothing item to donate,” explained Colleen Moore, Paralegal from the San Luis Obispo office. “Proceeds from the run went to local youth groups to help them stay healthy through fitness and education. All food items and clothing were given to homeless support groups throughout San Luis Obispo County.”
