On March 6, 2013, Steven L. Simas and Justin D. Hein presented, “The Intersection of Criminal and Administrative Law” to the San Mateo County Bar Association Private Defender’s Panel.
The presentation consisted of a brief overview of administrative law and the administrative adjudicative process and administrative hearings. It then explored in-depth the complexities of the intersection and how they can lead to difficulties and complexities for professional licensing defense attorneys and criminal defense attorneys alike. Roughly 40 members of the San Mateo County Bar Association were present and the event was videotaped for later viewings for those who could not attend (note – we will post that as soon as we get a copy).
